How Kolab collects, uses, and protects your data when you use the platform.

Who we are
Kolab is the platform that connects brands and content creators for paid collaborations, from discovery through payment. This policy explains what data we collect when you create an account, use the wallet, take part in a deal, or contact us, and how we use it.
Data we collect
Depending on your role, we collect: your account information (name, email, encrypted password, phone, city, country); your public profile information (bio, niches, social platforms, portfolio for creators; company name, industry, website for brands); data related to your wallet and transactions (balance, escrowed amounts, payment history); the content you exchange in the deal room (messages, deliverables); and, if you connect an Instagram, TikTok, or YouTube account, the public statistics of your profile (followers, views, engagement).
How we use this data
We use your data to run the platform: create and secure your account, display your public profile, process payments and fund escrow, generate the contracts and invoices tied to your deals, send you the transactional emails you need (deal accepted, withdrawal processed, payment receipt), and respond to your requests through the contact form. We never use your data for advertising and never sell it to any third party.
Sharing with third-party processors
To operate, Kolab relies on technical providers who process certain data on our behalf: Supabase for authentication, file storage, and the deal room's real-time messaging; Konnect for payment processing and wallet top-ups; Google (Gmail) for sending transactional emails; and, only if you connect your account, the public Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube APIs to retrieve your creator statistics. Each of these providers only has access to the data strictly necessary for its role.
Data retention
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. Data tied to transactions, invoices, and contracts is kept beyond account closure when necessary for our accounting obligations and to resolve potential disputes. You may request deletion of your account at any time through our contact page.
Your rights
You may at any time request access to the data we hold about you, its correction, or the deletion of your account, by writing to us through the Contact page. We respond to these requests within a reasonable timeframe, subject to data we must keep for legal or accounting reasons (for example, the history of transactions already completed).
Cookies and preferences
Kolab only uses cookies essential to the service: keeping you signed in, and remembering your language and display preference (light or dark). We do not use any advertising cookies or third-party trackers for marketing purposes.
Security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data: encrypted passwords, restricted access to private documents (invoices, contracts) through temporary signed links, and wallet transactions processed atomically to prevent any balance inconsistency. No system is infallible, and we encourage you to use a strong, unique password.
Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy to reflect changes to the platform or to applicable regulations. The last-updated date at the top of this page is refreshed with each change. We encourage you to review it periodically.
